Triangle Club Celebrates 40th Anniversary

It is Christmas time and that means it is Holiday Basketball tournament time!  One of the many organizations 44 Business Capital 562B6A237F188FF57A250E42E24DD364_data_3f1e6aa1-33cc-4be8-ad8d-9d 237E39812DC744CAB3587DF19911FA34_data_9866db10-5973-466a-9a94-f1supports in our community is the Triangle Club of Montgomery County.  The Triangle Club was established in 1963 to promote service, sports and scholarship among public, parochial and private high school students in Montgomery County.  During the spring of each year, the Triangle Club honors the top scholar-athletes from the high schools in the county at which time the most outstanding is selected to receive the “William F. Dannehower Memorial Scholar Athlete Award”.  Last Spring, the organization celebrated the 50th anniversary of its awards dinner.  This year, the Triangle Club is celebrating its 40th year of hosting an exciting High School basketball tournament.  In the first matchup tonight (12-27-2013), Germantown Academy will meet Bishop McDevitt with the nightcap featuring Norristown against Pope John Paul II.  Tip off for game 1 is scheduled for 6:30 and our very own Greg Poehlmann will be grilling Hatfield’s finest dogs.  The action will continue tomorrow night with the consolation game tipping off at 6:30 with the championship game at 8PM.  C’mon out and support the Triangle Club while enjoying some great High School basketball.
