Zach Erdem was leasing his restaurant location for 10 years and wanted to purchase the real estate. However, the purchase price was $8.5 million and he had limited liquidity to acquire the real estate. Zach was also attempting to finance the purchase during the COVID crisis when restaurants were struggling and lenders were hesitant to lend to the hard-hit industry.
