CHALLENGE

Ruben Rodriguez had a dream of becoming an entrepreneur but could not get a conventional business loan to purchase a security services company. The requirement of a large injection amount and the impact a shorter-term loan would have on the deal's cash flow became an obstacle. Marissa Ames and 44 were able to structure an SBA loan with a lower injection requirement and a longer term of 10 years. With 10% injection and the longer term, Ruben was able to purchase the business and have the necessary cash flow to be successful.
